Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and 550W Video Eraser ("we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of our online service at eraser.550wai.com (the "Service"), which is operated by an independent individual developer. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.

The Service

The Service is an online video tool that removes hardcoded subtitles, captions, and on-screen text from videos you upload and reconstructs the underlying background. It offers fast subtitle and text removal and the purchase of processing credits. Processing is paid for using credits, and new users receive a one-time bonus of free credits upon registration. Sign-in is provided through Supabase. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or any part of the Service at any time.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and not to share, sell, or transfer your account, and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable Use and Prohibited Content

You may upload only videos that you own or are otherwise lawfully authorized to edit. You must not use the Service to: (a) create, upload, or process adult content, NSFW material, pornography, nudity, or sexual or sexually explicit content of any kind; (b) create, upload, or process child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors; (c) infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual-property or proprietary rights, including removing subtitles or watermarks in order to facilitate infringement or circumvent rights management; (d) process content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that depicts or promotes violence or illegal activity; or (e) violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access to any account, and remove or refuse to process any content, that violates these rules, and we may report unlawful content to the appropriate authorities.

Credits, Pricing, and Payment

Processing consumes credits based on video duration and resolution. Credits are sold in packages priced in US dollars and are purchased through Creem, which acts as our merchant of record (authorized seller), at the price displayed at checkout. Creem collects and remits any applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax), and the charge may appear as "CREEM.IO" or "Creem" on your statement. Credits do not expire and have no per-use limit. Except as expressly provided in our Refund Policy, credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. We may change pricing prospectively, and any such change will not affect credits already purchased.

Intellectual Property

You retain all rights in and to the videos you upload and the output videos you receive. We do not claim ownership of your content; you grant us only the limited, temporary licence necessary to process your content and deliver your results. All software, trademarks, logos, and other materials comprising the Service remain the property of us or our licensors and may not be used without prior written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Results depend on the input video and may not be perfect, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the credits giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully, or as otherwise required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and your data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Governing Law, Language, and Mandatory Rights

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the mainland of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. These Terms and our related policies are published in multiple languages for your convenience; the English version is the authoritative version, and in the event of any conflict or inconsistency the English version prevails. If you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and this governing-law clause does not deprive you of those mandatory protections, including mandatory rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR and applicable consumer-protection laws.
