This Privacy Policy explains how 550W Video Eraser ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects your information when you access or use our online service at eraser.550wai.com (the "Service"), an online video tool that removes hardcoded subtitles and text from videos and reconstructs the background. The Service is operated by an independent individual developer. By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the practices described in it. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information: (1) Account information — when you sign in through our authentication provider, Supabase, we receive your email address and a unique account identifier. (2) Content you provide — the videos you upload for processing and the resulting output files. (3) Usage and device information — such as your approximate region, device and browser type, the pages you visit, and the credits consumed by each task, collected in part through web analytics using cookies or similar technologies. (4) Payment information — we do not collect or store your full payment card details; payments are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record and handles your payment data under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS-compliant security standards.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to authenticate your account, process the videos you submit and deliver and let you download the results, maintain your credit balance, provide customer support, operate, analyze, and improve the Service, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your uploaded videos to train any models.
Data Retention
Uploaded source videos and processed output videos are retained for one (1) day and are then automatically and permanently deleted; they are not stored long-term. If you delete your account, your account data is retained for seven (7) days and then permanently deleted, except where a longer retention period is required to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. We retain other information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
Disclosure and Third-Party Services
We share information only as necessary to operate the Service, with the following categories of service providers, each acting under its own privacy and security commitments: Supabase (sign-in and identity authentication); our dedicated servers (video processing infrastructure); Creem (payment processing and merchant of record); and our web analytics provider, which uses cookies or similar technologies to measure traffic. We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We limit data retention as described above to reduce risk.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to request data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may delete your account at any time.
