This Privacy Policy explains how 550W Watermark & Text Eraser ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects your information when you access or use our online image and video processing service at eraser.550wai.com (the "Service"). The Service removes watermarks, text, logos, captions, date stamps, and hardcoded subtitles from images and videos and reconstructs the underlying background. It is operated by an independent individual developer. By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the practices described in it. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information: (1) Account information — when you sign in through our authentication provider, Supabase, we receive your email address and a unique account identifier. (2) Content you provide — images and videos uploaded for processing, generated thumbnails, converted image files where required, processing tasks, and resulting output files. (3) Usage and device information — such as your approximate region, device and browser type, pages visited, task status, and credits consumed, collected in part through web analytics using cookies or similar technologies. (4) Payment information — we do not collect or store your full payment card details; payments are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment data under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS-compliant security standards.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to authenticate your account; validate, convert where necessary, process, display, and deliver the images and videos you submit; generate task-list thumbnails; maintain your credit balance; provide customer support; operate, analyze, and improve the Service; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, unsafe files, and security incidents; and comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use uploaded images or videos to train models.

Data Retention

Image source and conversion work files are deleted after processing and are cleared within three (3) hours if left behind; image thumbnails and successful results are retained for no more than twenty-four (24) hours. Published video files are retained for no more than twenty-four (24) hours, and some temporary media files are deleted sooner. If you delete your account, your account data is retained for seven (7) days and then permanently deleted, except where a longer retention period is required to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. We retain other information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

Disclosure and Third-Party Services

We share information only as necessary to operate the Service with service providers acting under their own privacy and security commitments: Supabase for sign-in and identity authentication; dedicated infrastructure and cloud services for video processing and file delivery; TextIn for requested image watermark and text removal; Creem for payment processing and merchant-of-record services; and web analytics providers using cookies or similar technologies to measure traffic. TextIn receives only the image data and technical request information needed for the requested image processing. We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or others. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We limit data retention as described above to reduce risk.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to request data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may delete your account at any time. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable data-protection laws, you retain all mandatory rights granted to you under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and your local laws; nothing in this Policy or in the governing-law provisions of our Terms of Service limits those mandatory rights.
